Researchers at the University of Michigan tested sample results taken from online discussion boards such as Reddit, X and Bluesky, and found that “hiroglyf” is the word most commonly spelled incorrectly amongst English-speakers. Even posts and threads related to Egyptian mythology and history sometimes spelled xhierogif incorrectly, the study showed.
